Gig Harbor Interrupted Burglary

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department needs your help to identify the suspect responsible for a residential burglary in Gig Harbor.

At 12:20 a.m. on Sunday August 2nd, 2015, an unidentified suspect burglarized a house on 103rd Ave. NW near Kopachuk State Park.  The suspect forced open the victims’ security gate and backed his car in the victims’ driveway.  The suspect used a rock to smash in a glass door on the back of the victims’ house, awaking the homeowners.  The suspect walked through the broken door, into a foyer area, then exited through the front door without stealing any items.

A black plastic magazine was later found where the suspect’s vehicle was parked during the burglary.  The magazine was loaded with a unique high velocity ammunition that can only be shot out of a corresponding semi-automatic handgun.

The suspect appears to be a white male wearing shorts and a striped shirt, and may walk with a limp.  His vehicle appears to be a light colored vehicle.
