Tacoma Senior Apartments Burglarized
Tacoma Police detectives need your help to identify the suspect responsible for a series of burglaries targeting senior citizens.
On June 6th, 2017, the pictured suspect burglarized a 90-year-old woman’s residence at the Tahoma Terrace Apartments on S. Union Ave. in the City of Tacoma. The suspect posed as a maintenance worker and told the victim he was there to sweep the patio; the suspect entered the victim’s apartment and stole jewelry, cash, a cell phone and prescription medications. The suspect approached several other residents and told them he was there to service their air conditioning.
The suspect is also believed to be responsible for similar incidents on July 16th at the Brookdale Allenmore Independent Living Facility on S. Union Ave. and on August 6th at the True Vine Apartments on S. Mason Ave. in Tacoma.
The suspect appears to be a black male in his 30’s or 40’s, approximately 6’ tall, medium build, bald and has a thick mustache. During one of the burglaries he was seen leaving in a black sedan.
