Stolen Service Dog

Stolen at Sprinker Rec Center

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department needs your help to locate a stolen service dog and to identify the three suspects responsible for the robbery.

At approximately 2:00 p.m. on Saturday May 19th, 2012, the victim was watching baseball games at Sprinker Recreation Facility on C St. S. in Spanaway.  Three unidentified suspects approached the victim, talked with him and played with the victim’s service dog. 

When the victim left the baseball fields, the suspects drove up to him in the parking lot, opened their car door, grabbed the dog and drove away.  The victim was forced to drop the dog’s leash in fear of being dragged across the parking lot.

The suspects are described as a two white males and a white female, all in their early 20’s.  The suspects were seen driving a dark blue 4-door sedan, possibly a Honda.

The stolen service dog is a black and white Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix named Oreo.

Receive up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and charges filed for the person responsible in this case.
